The Challenge

In early 2020, the Army faced the challenge of maintaining continuous access to classified networks during the Department of Defense’s COVID-19 remote work mandate. To support ongoing missions, leaders identified CSfC as a suitable remote work solution. U.S. Army’s Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) solicited full and open competition proposals to establish this CSfC solution. NDi won the award for implementing the solution.

The Solution

In 2020, NDi built, delivered, and operated an accredited CSfC capability for the Army at Fort Bragg, NC, as a managed service called ViSR (Virtual Secure Remote). The Fort Bragg deployment supports over 15,000 users and demonstrates both scalability and real-world impact.

The Result

The successful ViSR deployment at Fort Bragg demonstrated CSfC’s value in securing classified network access across the Army. Building on this success, NDi developed a comprehensive white paper in 2021, outlining how to extend the Fort Bragg solution into a global mesh environment to modernize the Army’s SIPRNet infrastructure.

Over the next year, NDi engaged senior Army leaders and actively participated in SIPRNet modernization planning under Army PEO-EIS. NDi advocated adopting the Fort Bragg model and the global mesh network vision in the broader Army SIPRNet modernization program.

The Now

In 2022, the U.S. Army launched the Global Secure Network (GSN), a transformative initiative shaped by NDi’s strategic vision and technical leadership. As principal integrator, NDi architects and deploys CSfC nodes at critical locations, including Fort Bragg, JBLM, Korea, Southwest Asia, Germany, and Hawaii. This global mesh network will support up to 169,000 users, delivering secure, scalable classified communications across continents.

Building on this momentum, NDi continued to innovate. In 2026, RAVEN Secure Networks was founded to pioneer next-generation NSA CSfC solutions. RAVEN Secure Networks delivers enterprise-class, patent-pending, capabilities that enable classified communications over public infrastructure—anywhere, anytime. With two patent-pending technologies, RAVEN empowers organizations to stream classified data securely from the tactical edge, through DoW Impact Level 6 cloud-based AI/ML enclaves, to command centers, leveraging public networks like 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, and satellite.

At the heart of this innovation is the RAVEN Secure Interface Device (SID): a self-contained, layered encryption and retransmit computing device. Designed for seamless integration with mobile and operational technologies, RAVEN SID ensures resilient, zero-trust, post-quantum encrypted connectivity for mission-critical operations, even in the most challenging environments.
